Water View International Consulting conducts audits in a systematic and objective process by which we monitor the performance of the Emergency Management System (including but not limited to OHS) for emergency preparedness and response activities by determining if the management system has been effectively implemented and maintained.

Audits apply to all of the client’s functions and/or sections participating in the preparedness or response activity

The audit process objectives are to:

• Verify the management system complies to the requirements of emergency management plans, policies, procedures, risk assessments and relevant legislation;
• Provide assurance that everyday tasks and complex activities that are conducted over a period of time are according to the documented management system.

Where appropriate the audit will identify and highlight issues and non-conformances for investigation and corrective action to prevent reoccurrence and,

• Will identify opportunities for improving the management system.

Water View International Consulting develops assessments, checklists and audits to be conducted at a variety of levels:

• Self-assessments – by personnel completing the task based on a procedure or equivalent;
• Team assessments – where team members audit their own activities based on a procedure or equivalent.

We also develop documentation for:

• Internal audits – by independent auditors not involved in the activity;

and conduct third party External Audits reporting back to the Client or to a Federal, State or Local Authority.

Water View International Consulting can conduct independent Peer Reviews for businesses who have obligations to develop Bushfire Management Plans. We can provide advice regarding Risk Methodology and Plan Development.

Water View International Consulting can also assist in the development of processes and procedures to manage Major Hazard Facilities, and can conduct Audits on areas like Dangerous Goods Management.

We now conduct reviews and development of the Queensland Emergency Risk Management Framework (QERMF) in Disaster Management.
